Ballerina steps

Okay, so after a long, really long pause, I decided it's time to draw again and even though that thought had been in my mind for a long time, it was only this Thursday that I actually took the pencils and the paper seriously

I don't know about you, but I ADORE ballerinas, whom I see as beautiful, gracious, elegant, breathtaking. They have something really special, don't they? My mom wanted me when I was little to become I ballerina. I didn't become one, but I ended up drawing them.

It took me about ten hours, mainly because I'm not used to draw with coloured pencils, so it was a bit hard, but I definitely enjoyed it. I used watercolours; I can't remember which type of paper I used, because I bought it some time ago, but it's not smooth, as you can see. I finished it yesterday, so I started the year really good

P.S: I can't find the photo reference, but when I do, I'll mention it. And I also edited the colours a bit to make them look like the ones in the drawing. Scanning/photographing a drawing is always the part I really don't like, because it never looks like the one on your desk.
